Funkin Gains Offset On-Trade Challenges

Funkin, another brand in A.G. Barr’s portfolio, showed improvement in Q2. Increased off-trade sales helped counterbalance weaker on-trade performance. This balance across product lines ensured sustained revenue flow despite broader market challenges.

Additionally, improved manufacturing efficiency and tight cost control raised operating margins to 15%, up from 13% last year.


A Strategic Focus on Health-Driven Innovation

New Investment Supports Long-Term Growth

Alongside A.G. Barr Boost sales, the company made a strategic move by acquiring a 50.1% stake in Innate-Essence. This £15 million deal gives it a controlling interest in The Turmeric Co., a growing health-focused drinks brand.

This investment aligns with A.G. Barr’s focus on high-growth, wellness-oriented categories. It also signals the group’s ambition to expand its portfolio with innovative, functional drinks.

Marketing Spend and Momentum Expected to Increase
