Albertsons Debuts B2B Ecommerce Platform to Serve Business Customers

New Service Offers Office Essentials Across 2,000+ Locations

Albertsons has officially launched its Albertsons B2B ecommerce platform, aiming to deliver office essentials directly to business customers nationwide.
This move expands the grocery giant’s digital reach and puts it in direct competition with other major business-focused delivery services.

The platform offers businesses a new way to shop for food, beverages, paper goods, and breakroom supplies across over 2,000 stores.
Albertsons now leverages its store network to provide convenience and efficiency for companies of all sizes.

Key Banners Included in the Expansion

The service includes major Albertsons banners such as Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, ACME, Pavilions, and Tom Thumb.
With more than 2,270 stores, Albertsons can offer widespread delivery and consistent service through its upgraded platform.

Stephen Menaquale, SVP of eCommerce, emphasized that this offering helps business customers focus on operations, not supply runs.
He said Albertsons saw market opportunity and acted to meet growing business demands using its product depth and store reach.

What the B2B Ecommerce Platform Offers

The Albertsons B2B ecommerce platform includes several valuable features for its business clients.
Customers can access same-day delivery, flexible payment options, tax exemption, and no online markups.

Additionally, businesses enjoy no minimum purchase requirements and a white-glove service experience, setting the platform apart.
These features are designed to eliminate friction and encourage regular, bulk orders from office managers and other buyers.

Competing in a Crowded Market

Albertsons joins a growing list of retailers targeting the business sector through ecommerce services.
For example, Instacart launched a business delivery program in early 2023, aimed at offices and shared workspaces.

Meanwhile, Walmart debuted Walmart Business+ around the same time, offering over 100,000 products and annual memberships.
The competition highlights the growing demand for convenient and fast supply deliveries in the professional space.

Albertsons’ offering may stand out due to its grocery-first inventory and strong regional presence across multiple states.
Furthermore, its combination of food, beverages, and traditional office products offers a one-stop-shop solution.
