Amazon Partners with Unilever and Colgate for Hygiene Poverty Donation Drive

Amazon has teamed up with several major household brands, including Unilever, L’Oréal, Colgate-Palmolive, Beiersdorf, Mayborn, and others, to donate over 250,000 hygiene, household, and baby products to families in need across the UK.
Campaign Details:
- Campaign Name: You Buy, We Donate
- Dates: 6 January – 28 January 2025
- How It Works: For every two purchases of selected personal hygiene, household, or baby products on Amazon.co.uk, customers will receive a third product donated to The Multibank charity.
- Product Selection: Over 800 products are eligible, including brands like:
- Mama Bear
- Dove
- Elvive
- Colgate
- Garnier
- L’Oréal Paris
- Nivea
- Palmolive
- Radox
- Vaseline and more.
Hygiene Poverty Impact:
- The campaign addresses hygiene poverty, where one in four children are reportedly missing school because they or their clothes are not clean. A recent survey for The Hygiene Bank found that teachers in the UK are spending £40m annually to combat hygiene poverty in classrooms.
Logistics & Support:
- Logistics Partner: Palletline, a transport logistics company, is providing storage and distribution services for the donated items to The Multibank’s network of regional hubs across the UK, all at no charge.
