Asda’s Joe Wicks “Cashpot for Schools” Campaign Reaches £3 Million Milestone
Asda’s Cashpot for Schools initiative, led by TV fitness personality Joe Wicks, has reached a significant milestone of £3 million in donations just four weeks after its launch.
As detailed in Asda’s Joe Wicks “Cashpot for Schools” Campaign Reaches £3 Million Milestone, the campaign allows customers to contribute 0.5% of their shopping value to a primary school of their choice every time they shop using Asda Rewards.
In partnership with charity Parentkind, the initiative is set to run for another eight weeks, with Asda aiming to raise a total of £7.7 million. All 22,000 state-funded primary schools in the UK were given the chance to participate, with over 21,500 already signed up. More than 15 schools have received over £1,000 in donations.
The campaign made an immediate impact, raising £1.1 million within just four days of its launch in September. David Hills, Asda’s chief customer officer, commented: “This money will make a huge difference to millions of children. Asda will continue to donate 0.5% of the value of our customers’ shopping to their chosen school until the end of November, ensuring there is still millions more to invest.”
