Brookshire Brothers Partners with Birdzi to Enhance Personalized Shopping Experiences
Brookshire Brothers, a Texas-based regional grocery chain known for its employee-owned model, is taking a major step to enhance its shopping experience by partnering with Birdzi, a leader in personalization and analytics. This collaboration aims to offer customers tailored shopping experiences and meaningful promotions while also uncovering valuable customer insights. Brookshire Brothers operates nearly 120 stores under various retail brands, from contemporary grocery stores to convenience-supermarket hybrids, and will leverage Birdzi’s VISPER solution to deliver personalized digital coupons and ads, powered by advanced shopper analytics and a comprehensive customer data platform.
“We believe in putting our customers first,” said John Alston, president and CEO of Brookshire Brothers. “Birdzi’s cutting-edge personalization tools will allow us to quickly adapt to the unique needs of our diverse customer base, ensuring we remain a trusted and valued community partner.”
Birdzi’s VISPER solution will empower Brookshire Brothers to offer personalized promotions that resonate with individual shoppers. By analyzing customer behavior, the system will enable the retailer to craft more targeted digital coupons and flyers, enhancing the customer experience and boosting loyalty. This is part of a broader trend in the grocery industry, where retailers are increasingly relying on data-driven solutions to tailor their offerings to consumer preferences.
In 2024, Birdzi also onboarded several other major regional grocers, such as Associated Food Stores and Northeast Shared Services, expanding its reach and solidifying its position as a key player in the grocery sector. Birdzi’s personalization platform helps retailers adapt to consumer trends by providing real-time insights and enhancing customer engagement.
Birdzi also introduced several key product developments this year. New hires within the company, such as Katie Christ, director of client success and shopper insights, and Lucas Helal and Luis Mendes, ML and AI engineers, will focus on optimizing the platform’s capabilities. Notable new products include VISPER Live, which allows brands to engage shoppers with ongoing campaigns, and an AI-driven weekly ad forecaster that predicts the performance of personalized ads.
Additionally, Birdzi has streamlined the retailer onboarding process through its partnership with Armeta Analytics, enhancing data quality and providing faster access to its platform.
Birdzi’s CEO, Shekar Raman, reflected on the company’s success in 2024, stating, “On average, our customers saw a 30% increase in basket size and doubled their store visits. We look forward to working closely with retailers to continue driving success in the year ahead.”
This collaboration between Brookshire Brothers and Birdzi represents a significant advancement in the use of personalized shopping experiences and data-driven decision-making in the grocery sector. With personalized promotions and targeted marketing, Brookshire Brothers aims to further enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty while staying competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
