CVS is highlighting mental health and personal expression through a new line of journals featuring designs from its employees. The CVS Pharmacy division of CVS Health Corp. has launched a collection of journals inspired by the mental health journeys of four CVS Health colleagues. This is the first time CVS Pharmacy has incorporated employee artwork into its store brand products.

The journals are part of the Caliber brand, which includes school, work, and stationery products. Over 75 submissions were received from a company-wide call for art, and the final designs were selected by a panel of colleague judges.

The featured artists are Ashley Briggs from Richmond, Va.; Matthew Everett from Saunderstown, R.I.; Makayla Huerta from Brea, Calif.; and Diego Rios from Ronkonkoma, N.Y. Their designs, along with personal statements about their inspirations, are showcased on the inside covers of the journals. Each artist received a cash award for their contributions.

Mike Wier, VP of store brands at CVS Health, noted that the journals cater to Millennial and Gen Z consumers who use them for wellness and personal growth. “These notebooks, featuring designs by our colleagues, will resonate with consumers’ desire for self-expression and support practices like journaling and creative exploration.”

Deborah Fernandez-Turner, deputy chief psychiatric officer at CVS Health, emphasized the therapeutic benefits of journaling, stating, “Journaling can improve mood, reduce anxiety, and enhance overall well-being.”
