Stater Bros. Expands Footprint With Series of New Store Openings
Stater Bros. Grows in California With Store Openings and Upgrades
New Locations and Renovations Bring Fresh Grocery Options
Stater Bros. Markets continues expanding its presence in Southern California with new locations and refreshed stores. The Stater Bros. new stores initiative highlights the company’s dedication to growth, modernization, and customer satisfaction.
This summer, the San Bernardino-based grocery chain opened a brand-new store in Highland, California. Simultaneously, it completed a significant renovation in Twentynine Palms. These developments demonstrate Stater Bros.’ commitment to investing in local communities and providing enhanced shopping experiences.
Highland Welcomes a Modern Stater Bros. Supermarket
In June, Stater Bros. opened a spacious 46,000-square-foot store in Highland. Located at the Greenspot Crossings shopping center, the new store replaced a smaller location nearby.
This change nearly doubled the available space, allowing the retailer to offer more products and services. The new layout improves store flow and supports expanded departments such as produce, meat, and prepared foods.
CEO Pete Van Helden shared his enthusiasm, saying, “Growing communities need fresh, affordable groceries, and Stater Bros. is proud to answer the call.” He invited neighbors to explore the new store and enjoy personalized customer service.
Twentynine Palms Store Gets a Facelift
Stater Bros. also completed a full remodel of its Twentynine Palms location. The renovation includes a sleek new façade, updated flooring, fresh décor, and redesigned checkstands.
This upgrade introduces new features such as grab-and-go sushi, burritos, sandwiches, salads, and Cleo & Leo fried chicken. The modern offerings aim to meet the needs of today’s on-the-go shoppers.
A striking 66-foot flagpole was added to honor the local Marine Corps community. “This remodel is a symbol of our long-term commitment to Twentynine Palms,” said Van Helden.
Focused Growth in Local Communities
Currently operating 166 stores, Stater Bros. continues identifying opportunities in growing neighborhoods. Its strategy focuses on community needs, convenience, and providing a local touch. The Stater Bros. new stores effort demonstrates how the chain adapts to serve more customers without sacrificing quality.
The company’s investments reflect its understanding of regional demand and its willingness to modernize older locations. These moves keep the brand competitive while staying rooted in its values.
Stronger Connections Through Better Experiences
Beyond physical upgrades, Stater Bros. is enhancing customer experiences. Shoppers now enjoy wider aisles, fresh selections, and faster checkout times. The renovated and new stores show the grocer’s commitment to comfort and convenience.
With these improvements, the retailer continues building lasting connections with loyal shoppers. Fresh options and modern layouts help position Stater Bros. as a top grocery destination in the region.
