Stop & Shop Stores Affected by Cyberattack Anticipated to Resume Normal Operations
Ahold Delhaize USA, the parent company of Stop & Shop and other major grocery brands, is nearing the resolution of disruptions caused by a cyberattack on Nov. 8. While the company’s other brands, including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, and Hannaford, reported no significant impacts, Stop & Shop locations experienced product shortages that are expected to be fully resolved by Friday.

All Ahold Delhaize USA brands remain operational, and ecommerce services are active, the company confirmed. - Thanksgiving Preparations Unaffected:
Key holiday items, such as turkeys and hams, were secured well in advance, ensuring availability across all stores. - Customer Compensation:
- To address customer inconvenience, Hannaford is offering $10 off purchases of $100 or more, redeemable in-store or online through Nov. 27.
Cyberattack Investigation
Ahold Delhaize USA continues to work with external cybersecurity experts to investigate and mitigate the incident. Law enforcement agencies have also been involved.
The cyberattack temporarily disrupted some operations, including pharmacies and certain ecommerce services across various Ahold Delhaize brands. However, swift action from the company’s security teams ensured a minimal impact on overall operations.

The company reassured customers that all brands, including Stop & Shop, will be fully prepared for the Thanksgiving holiday season, with shelves well-stocked and systems functioning normally.
