Families across the UK can now look forward to more active days this summer. The Unilever Asda sports campaign is here to help. This exciting initiative aims to inspire children and families to enjoy sports, have fun, and build healthy habits.

Fun-Filled Summer with the Festival of Sport

Unilever and Asda have joined forces with the popular Festival of Sport to deliver a campaign focused on family wellbeing. Running until 18 June, the campaign offers 200 lucky families free tickets to the Festival of Sport event.

This exciting event takes place from 2 to 4 August at Packington Estate in Warwickshire. It promises a fantastic experience filled with sports, fun, and learning. The Festival of Sport was founded by former England rugby legends Will Greenwood and Austin Healey.

Children can explore new sports, develop skills, and gain confidence in a supportive environment. Families can enjoy quality time together while staying active.

50,000 Free Sports Lessons for Children

The campaign offers more than just tickets. A total of 50,000 free sports lessons for children are available across the UK. These sessions run from 12 June to 16 July and aim to make sports accessible to all families.

Research from Sport England shows a worrying trend. Around 30% of children are active for less than 30 minutes a day. Rising costs also prevent many families from accessing sports activities. This campaign provides an affordable, fun solution.

Supporting Healthier Lifestyles for All

Unilever customer director for Asda, Jo Taylor, highlights the shared mission behind the Unilever Asda sports campaign.

“Unilever and Asda share a deep commitment to supporting families and communities across the UK,” said Taylor.

The Festival of Sport is a fantastic chance to promote healthy, active lifestyles. Both brands are proud to bring this event to life and help families enjoy sports together.

Asda’s chief commercial officer, Kris Comerford, agrees. “We’re delighted to partner with Unilever and Festival of Sport to provide this exciting opportunity for our customers,” Comerford said.

“Supporting families and promoting healthier lifestyles is central to what we do. This campaign helps provide children with access to fun activities that inspire confidence, encourage movement, and create lasting memories.”
