This initiative is designed to attract customers and highlight the quality of Kroger’s own branded products. As part of this campaign, Kroger will distribute 50 pints of Kroger Brand ice cream per minute on June 20, the official start of summer, a day with the most sunlight.

Customers will have a variety of flavors to choose from, including Deluxe Tie Dye Burst, Mint Chocolate Chip, Vivid Vanilla, and Chocolate Chip.
The promotion follows closely on the heels of Walmart’s launch of its Bettergoods private-label ice cream brand, which has gained popularity. A recent Numerator poll indicates that 78% of customers who tried Bettergoods ice cream said they would purchase it again, showing strong competition in the private-label ice cream market.
