Kitchen & Market has expanded its footprint in Seattle with the opening of its latest small-format grocery store in the Eastlake neighborhood. This marks the grocer’s fifth location in the greater Seattle area. The 5,000-square-foot store at 1616 Eastlake Ave. offers a European-style corner grocery model featuring meal kits, grab-and-go lunches, pantry staples, and produce, along with indoor seating for customers.

“We’re thrilled to become a central hub in the community where neighbors can meet and grab some great groceries on their way out,” said Stephanie King, founder and CEO of Kitchen & Market. “Customers can expect chef-prepared, locally sourced, delicious dinner solutions, a variety of grab-and-go options, and pantry staples,” she added.

As with other locations, the Eastlake store will host local events, tastings, and holiday gatherings, providing customers with a vibrant, community-centered shopping experience.

The store offers grab-and-go options for breakfast and lunch, including smoothies, yogurt parfaits, soups, salads, and sandwiches, as well as essential grocery items like milk and eggs. Customers can also select from a rotating menu of six chef-prepared meal kits, which change seasonally. Current menu offerings include Chicken Parmesan, Grandpa Jack’s Chili & Cornbread, Sheet Pan Pork with Polenta, Bulgogi Fried Rice, Sheet Pan Chicken Shawarma, and Autumn Squash Risotto. Additionally, customers can pre-order a Thanksgiving feast with options like turkey or chicken.

Founded in 2021, Kitchen & Market now operates five locations in the Seattle area, including stores in Pike Place Market, Medina, Madison Valley, Yarrow Bay, and Eastlake.
