Aldi and DoorDash are joining forces to launch the Charcuterie Chalet, a festive tasting event showcasing Aldi’s affordable holiday food offerings. Taking place in Chicago’s trendy Fulton Market District on Dec. 4-5, the event aims to inspire shoppers with creative charcuterie boards and budget-friendly entertaining ideas.

Hosted at Loft on Lake, the free, RSVP-required event will feature seven themed charcuterie boards, including:

  • The Aldi $50 Board: A gourmet spread under $50, with premium cheeses and meats.
  • Chalet Board: An edible chalet constructed from smoked gouda, salami, and candied pecans.
  • Holiday Sweater Board: A festive board with crackers, blue cheese, and dried cranberries.
  • Windy City Board: A Chicago skyline made of aged white cheddar, gouda, and havarti.
  • Charcuterie Drink Toppers: Mini charcuterie boards designed to pair with drinks.
  • Sweets Board: Holiday treats like European truffles, Jaffa Cakes, and hazelnut biscuits.
  • Aldi Fresh Board: A fresh produce display in Aldi’s iconic logo shape.

Aldi promises a cozy, ski-lodge vibe for attendees and encourages shoppers to recreate these boards at home with ingredients available via DoorDash. To sweeten the deal, DoorDash is offering $10 off orders of $40 or more throughout December with the promo code ALDIChalet.

This is not the first collaboration between Aldi and DoorDash. In June, the duo launched a sweepstakes awarding customers a chance to bring a private chef to cook meat or seafood purchased through the delivery service.

As Aldi continues to innovate its offerings, Kim Brazington, Aldi’s director of corporate buying and certified cheese professional, emphasized the brand’s commitment to making holiday hosting accessible:

“No matter if shoppers are charcuterie connoisseurs or just looking for budget-friendly ways to impress guests, our holiday food assortment of over 300 items will make hosts the talk of any holiday party.”

For those unable to attend in person, the curated product list for each board is available on DoorDash, ensuring all customers can join the charcuterie fun this holiday season.
