As highlighted in Aldi to Allocate £30m to Support Dairy Farmers in New Arla Partnership, this enhanced collaboration is set to run until mid-2027, providing additional support to Arla’s farm owners
Aldi has announced a £30 million investment to support dairy farmers through a strengthened partnership with the UK’s largest dairy cooperative, Arla. As highlighted in Aldi to Allocate £30m to Support Dairy Farmers in New Arla Partnership, this enhanced collaboration is set to run until mid-2027, providing additional support to Arla’s farm owners. The initiative will focus on improving sustainability and animal welfare practices across dairy farms.
Part of the investment will go towards Arla’s FarmAhead Customer Partnership, a new initiative aimed at helping farmers reduce on-farm emissions. Aldi will also participate in innovative farming projects through this program, aiming to accelerate the adoption of sustainable farming methods and decarbonize the dairy industry.
Additionally, Aldi has expanded its Aldi Dairy Farm Partnership (ADFP) programme, which now covers 100% of Arla’s fresh milk supply, extending support to over 150 British farms, a significant increase from the previous 25.
Liz Fox, Aldi UK’s national sustainability director, commented on the initiative: “At Aldi, our commitment to responsible sourcing is at the heart of everything we do. Our strengthened partnership with Arla allows us to better support farmers while driving positive change in the UK’s dairy sector. This investment highlights our dedication to delivering high-quality dairy products to our customers.”
