Big Y’s new pharmacy app features suite of health tools
The goal of the new app is to enhance the customer experience, while pharmacists and pharmacy teams remain available to assist in person or by phone.
Big Y is enhancing its pharmacy services with the introduction of a new mobile app designed to “simplify patients’ healthcare experience,” the company announced on Thursday.
Released in June, the Pharmacy Mobile App allows users to scan prescription bottle barcodes to order refills, transfer prescriptions, manage prescriptions for family members, locate nearby Big Y pharmacies, set medication and refill reminders, and access tax documents.
For those who cannot use the mobile app, the service is also available online.
“Our goal with the new app is to improve the customer experience, but our pharmacists and pharmacy teams are always available to assist you in person or by phone,” said Kathy Premo, Big Y’s pharmacy services manager, in the press release.
