BJ’s Wholesale Club Announces Its 39th Location in Florida
BJ’s Wholesale Club continues its expansion, recently opening its 39th location in Florida in West Palm Beach on October 25, which includes a BJ’s Gas station. In line with its community support initiatives, BJ’s will donate unsold produce, meat, dairy, and other perishables from this location to a local food bank.
BJ’s is also set to open a new club in Carmel, Indiana, this Friday, which will similarly feature BJ’s Gas and include a commitment to donate unsold perishables to the community. This expansion is part of BJ’s broader growth plan, as announced by Chairman and CEO Bob Eddy, with a goal of opening 12 new locations in 2024. Earlier in March, the retailer opened five clubs across Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Indiana.
BJ’s recent second-quarter performance highlighted a 2.4% year-over-year increase in comparable club sales (excluding gasoline) and a 4.8% rise in net sales, which exceeded $5 billion. These results underscore the success of BJ’s growth strategy as it continues to increase its footprint in both existing and new markets.
