Canadian Grocer T&T Supermarket to Open Its First U.S. Store
T&T Supermarket, Canada’s largest Asian grocery chain, is making its U.S. debut with a flagship location in Bellevue, Washington, set to open on December 5 at The Marketplace at Factoria. This 76,000-square-foot store will feature a broad range of authentic Asian products, from fresh produce and live seafood to Asian beauty items and a variety of wines and spirits, including over 750 types of liquor with a focus on Korean soju and Japanese sake.
The store aims to cater to a diverse audience, appealing not only to Asian families but also to anyone interested in exploring Asian cuisine. Foodservice will be a major feature, offering a self-serve hot food bar with dishes like Peking Duck, a BBQ station, sushi counter, and freshly prepared items like Chinese crepes and Taiwanese rice rolls.
CEO Tina Lee highlighted T&T’s vision to be a culinary destination for the Pacific Northwest. With over 35 locations in Canada, the company has also announced plans to expand further in the U.S., including another Washington location in Lynnwood and a store in California. Founded in Vancouver in 1993, T&T Supermarket has grown to become the leading Asian grocery chain in Canada and is headquartered in Richmond, BC.
