Deliveroo has announced a partnership with Blue Light Card, a discount provider catering to emergency services, NHS staff, teachers, social care workers, and the armed forces. This collaboration allows Blue Light Card members to enjoy free deliveries and savings on their orders.

As part of this initiative, Deliveroo becomes the only delivery app to partner with Blue Light Card, offering members a complimentary 12-month Deliveroo Plus Silver membership, which typically costs over £40 a year. This membership grants users access to free delivery from a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, and retailers, including popular chains like Nando’s, Wagamama, Waitrose, and Sainsbury’s.

In addition to free delivery, Blue Light Card holders will benefit from exclusive offers tailored to their local areas throughout the year. They will also be included in Deliveroo’s rewards program, earning an £8 discount on their fourth order after making three orders at the same restaurant within 30 days.

Caroline Harris, VP of Marketing at Deliveroo UK and Ireland, expressed pride in supporting Blue Light members. She stated, “This partnership allows us to give back to essential workers from across the community and express our utmost appreciation for their incredible work every day.”

Andy Collins, COO of Blue Light Card, noted the importance of this partnership for shift workers, emphasizing how it enhances their ability to access their favorite meals and essentials around the clock.
