Food Lion has enhanced the customer shopping experience with remodeled stores in the greater Raleigh-Durham, N.C., area and in Mecklenburg County, Va.
Major Investment for Store Upgrades
Fueled by a $365 million investment, Food Lion is set to unveil its newly remodeled stores in the greater Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina and Mecklenburg County, Virginia. The Salisbury, N.C.-based grocery chain will celebrate the grand reopening of 167 stores on August 21 with ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
Expanded Product Selection and Enhanced Features
The upgraded stores will offer an expanded product selection, including ready-to-eat, ready-to-cook, and ready-to-heat meal solutions. They will also feature the retailer’s fresh & simple-branded meals and introduce nearly all stores with self-checkout lanes for a more convenient shopping experience.
Improved Produce Section
The enhanced produce section will now include 25 to 30 seasonal fruits and vegetables grown locally, providing customers with fresher options and supporting local agriculture.
Enhanced E-commerce Options
Customers will benefit from improved e-commerce options, including Food Lion To Go pickup and home delivery services available through the website or app, making grocery shopping more accessible.
Commitment to Sustainability
Additionally, the remodeled stores will incorporate energy-efficient LED lighting and refrigerated cases with doors to reduce their environmental impact, showcasing Food Lion’s commitment to sustainability.
Grand Reopening Celebrations
At the ribbon-cutting events, the first 100 customers will receive giveaways and a gift card, with a chance to win a grand prize of $1,000 in Food Lion gift cards, making the celebration even more exciting for shoppers.
