H-E-B has opened its newest store in Pflugerville, a suburb of Austin, Texas, on November 13. The 127,000-square-foot location features a True Texas BBQ restaurant, marking another milestone in the San Antonio-based grocer’s expansion efforts in the Austin area. This opening comes just a month after H-E-B announced plans for a new store in San Marcos, which will also feature a True Texas BBQ.

The Pflugerville store includes a variety of amenities designed to enhance the shopping experience. These include a dedicated covered parking area for curbside delivery, a full-service pharmacy with a two-lane drive-thru, a fuel station with a car wash, and a Texas Backyard section featuring gardening and outdoor products. The store, located at 2641 E. Pflugerville Parkway, is H-E-B’s third in Pflugerville and contributes to the grocer’s growing presence in the Austin metro area.

Environmental sustainability is a key focus at this location, which incorporates CO2 refrigeration units, LED lighting, and native landscaping. The grocer currently operates more than 30 True Texas BBQ restaurants across Texas, contributing to the chain’s growing footprint in the state.

H-E-B’s rapid expansion includes multiple new stores in Manor, Georgetown, and Forney, with additional locations planned for the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including a 128,000-square-foot store in Mansfield. The company also operates Joe V’s Smart Shop, a discount concept, and Central Market, which focuses on natural and organic foods. H-E-B plans to open a new Joe V’s in Dallas by Spring 2025 and a Central Market in Dallas as well.

With over 435 stores in Texas and Mexico, H-E-B continues its mission to expand its reach and better serve customers across the Lone Star State.
