The Place line is now arriving at Market of Choice stores across Oregon, joining the grocer’s existing private release selections, which include CommUnity Cellars, Intersect, and Bubbles Project.
In collaboration with NW Wine Company, Market of Choice is launching its first limited-edition release: a 2022 Pinot Noir from the Dundee Hills AVA in the Willamette Valley. Known for its mineral-rich red volcanic soil, this debut Place Pinot Noir offers flavors of dark cherry, plum, raspberry, and wet stone, with hints of baking spices and a lengthy finish. It is priced at $29.99.
Steve Johnson, Market of Choice’s beverage sales manager, emphasized the grocer’s dedication to offering a diverse range of wines. “While we provide a broad selection of wines globally, we are particularly focused on Oregon producers. The Place Pinot Noir is a tribute to Oregon’s wine industry, starting with the renowned Dundee Hills, a leading region for Pinot Noir,” Johnson said.
The Place line enhances Market of Choice’s curated wine offerings, which have long been a staple in their stores.
CommUnity Cellars features wines from Grochau Cellars, made from grapes harvested from organic and sustainably farmed vineyards in the Willamette Valley and Columbia Gorge. The line includes a Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Cellars Rosé, with bottles priced between $18 and $26.
Intersect wines symbolize the convergence of Northwest regions, offering classic varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc from Oregon and Washington’s lush vineyards. These wines are designed for everyday enjoyment and are priced affordably, typically in the teens, without sacrificing quality.
The Bubbles Project provides a selection of sparkling wines from around the globe, including an Asolo Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. from Italy’s Volpago del Montello, along with Champagne and Cava Rosé options.
