Some consumers started holiday shopping earlier this year, potentially tempering Cyber Five sales growth.
Amazon’s Continued Dominance
Amazon remains the clear leader in the Cyber Five landscape:
- In 2023, it captured 31% of all Cyber Five spending, up three percentage points from 2022.
- 44% of U.S. households made at least one Cyber Five purchase on Amazon last year.
- Amazon also accounted for 33% of all purchase occasions during Cyber Weekend, far outpacing other retailers.
While other retailers saw slight declines, Costco managed a 0.2-point gain in market share during the period.
