Sainsbury’s Unveils ‘Count Up to Christmas’ Challenge for Nectar Cardholders

Sainsbury’s has introduced a festive promotion for Nectar cardholders, offering customers the chance to collect at least 1,500 bonus points through the ‘Count Up to Christmas’ challenge

As described in Sainsbury’s Unveils ‘Count Up to Christmas’ Challenge for Nectar Cardholders, all digitally registered Nectar users can participate by completing five personalized shopping tasks either in-store or online. Upon completing each task, customers will receive additional bonus points, complementing the usual points earned during their purchases.

Running from 9 October to 15 December, the challenge allows users to join by logging into their Nectar app and selecting the ‘join the challenge’ option to reveal their personalized tasks.

Alex Naisby, Sainsbury’s director of CRM and loyalty, stated: “Returning for another year, our popular Count Up to Christmas challenge gives customers another opportunity to earn more Nectar points while shopping at Sainsbury’s. Whether you’re saving for a holiday treat or your weekly shop, we hope our customers enjoy getting into the festive spirit with us.”

This announcement coincides with Sainsbury’s plan to recruit 20,000 seasonal employees across the UK to prepare for the busy Christmas period. The new hires will work in Sainsbury’s stores, warehouses, and online fulfilment centers, with 18,000 positions at Sainsbury’s and 2,000 at Argos.
