ShopRite Constructs Larger, Improved Supermarket in Upstate New York

On November 10, ShopRite unveiled its latest supermarket at 333 North Bedford Road in Mount Kisco, NY. The 74,000-square-foot store replaces the ShopRite of Bedford Hills, which closed on November 9.

Key Features of the New Store

  1. Expanded Services:
    • Fresh to Table: A dedicated meal solution center offering chef-prepared entrees, take-and-bake dishes, freshly made sushi, pre-cut fruits and vegetables, and in-store baked desserts.
    • Specialty Departments: Enhanced produce, meat, seafood, and bakery sections, including local and organic options and daily fresh seafood deliveries.
  2. Private and Premium Brands:
    • Specialty products like Bell & Evans poultry and Stonewall Kitchen items.
    • ShopRite’s signature brands: Bowl & Basket, Wholesome Pantry, and Paperbird.
  3. Smart Shopping Technology:
    • Caper Carts powered by Instacart: These smart carts enable customers to scan items as they shop for a seamless checkout experience.
  4. E-commerce Services:
    • Online ordering via the ShopRite app or website, with curbside pickup and home delivery options.
  5. Sustainability Initiatives:
    • Energy-efficient refrigeration and lighting systems.
    • Glass doors on all dairy and freezer cases.
    • LED lighting throughout the store and parking lot.
