Target Paper Wine Bottles: A Sustainable Wine Revolution

Target is taking a major step toward sustainability with Target Paper Wine Bottles. The retailer has become the first major U.S. food retailer to offer wines in paper bottles, which significantly reduce the carbon footprint.

A New Era of Eco-Friendly Wine Packaging

Target’s new wine range, The Collective Good, comes in Frugalpac’s innovative paper bottles. These bottles are made with 94% recycled paperboard and a recyclable food-grade pouch. Target Paper Wine Bottles help save nearly 100 tons of carbon dioxide, providing a more sustainable alternative to traditional glass bottles.

A Sustainable Solution with Impressive Results

The paper bottle is five times lighter than glass and uses six times less carbon to produce. This eco-friendly packaging allows Target to save approximately 98.3 tons of CO2e by selling 256,000 Collective Good bottles across nearly 1,200 stores.

The Collective Good Wines

The Collective Good wine range includes four varieties: a Red Blend from Spain, a Sauvignon Blanc from Chile, a Cabernet Sauvignon from California, and a Pinot Grigio from Italy. These wines are sourced from sustainable wineries and packaged in Frugalpac’s low-carbon, recyclable paper bottles.

A Commitment to the Environment

Target’s partnership with Latitude Wines and Monterey Wine Co. makes this sustainable packaging possible. The collaboration reflects a strong commitment to reducing the environmental impact of the wine industry.
