The North Carolina-headquartered specialty fresh food retailer announced that it is adding two new stores in the Washington, D.C. area
New Locations in Virginia to Strengthen Market Position
The Fresh Market, Inc., a specialty fresh food retailer, is set to enhance its presence in the metro Washington, D.C., area with the addition of two new stores. The Greensboro-based company recently announced plans to anchor two upscale mixed-use developments in Virginia: Reston Station in Reston, Va., and West Falls in Falls Church, Va. These new locations will complement the existing two stores in the metro D.C. area, further solidifying the retailer’s footprint in the region.
Upcoming Store Locations
Reston Station Store
The Fresh Market’s Reston Station location will occupy approximately 27,000 square feet on the ground floor of a planned building at the corner of Wiehle Avenue and Sunset Hills Road. This store will serve as a key component of the upscale mixed-use development, providing residents and visitors with a variety of fresh, high-quality food options.
West Falls Store
Similarly, the West Falls location will be situated at the corner of Leesburg Pike and Haycock Road, occupying around 29,000 square feet on the ground floor of future residential space. This store aims to meet the needs of the growing community in Falls Church by offering an extensive selection of fresh produce, specialty foods, and gourmet items.
Expansion Plans and Future Growth
Both new stores are expected to open within the next three years, further extending The Fresh Market‘s reach in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. This expansion is part of the company’s broader strategy to increase its presence in high-growth markets and provide customers with convenient access to premium fresh food offerings.
