Valeo Foods Group has successfully completed the acquisition of assets from Dal Colle, a prominent Italian bakery company renowned for producing high-quality baked goods. Valeo Foods Group acquires the prominent Italian bakery company Dal Colle, further enhancing its presence in the European sweet treats market.

Dal Colle, with a history spanning 120 years, offers a wide range of bakery products including Pandori, Panettoni, and Croissants. With over 180 products sold in more than 35 countries, Dal Colle is recognized globally for its heritage and quality. Valeo Foods Group acquires the prominent Italian bakery company Dal Colle, marking a significant addition to Valeo’s expanding operations in Italy, which started with the acquisition of Balconi in 2015 and continued with Val D’Enza in 2017 and IDP Pattini in 2023.

Ronald Kers, CEO of Valeo Foods Group, expressed excitement over the acquisition, stating that Dal Colle is a perfect fit for Valeo’s portfolio, which already includes some of Europe’s most established and beloved brands. He emphasized that Valeo Foods Group acquires the prominent Italian bakery company Dal Colle, as this move strengthens and diversifies their product offering, completing their range of high-quality confectionery and sweet treats. It also adds new manufacturing and logistical capabilities to support their growth ambitions in Italy and across Europe.

Alberto Alfieri, CEO of Valeo Foods Italy and President of Balconi Spa, welcomed the acquisition, highlighting the shared passion between the two companies for delivering top-tier products to consumers. He looks forward to working with Dal Colle’s team to accelerate the growth of Valeo’s Italian operations.

With revenues exceeding €1.5 billion, Valeo Foods manages over 80 brands, including Balconi, Fox’s Mints, and Rowse Honey, enjoyed by customers in over 106 countries. The group, owned by Bain Capital, operates 30 manufacturing facilities across the UK, Italy, Germany, and other countries, employing over 4,500 people.
