Walgreens is teaming up with Bilt Rewards to introduce an “Automatic Healthcare Savings” program, enabling customers to utilize a branded Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) benefits card for purchases. This innovative program aims to streamline the shopping experience by “eliminating the need to carry separate FSA or HSA cards,” according to Walgreens.

Key features of the new program include:

  • Automatic FSA/HSA Savings: Customers can shop at Walgreens using any linked debit or credit card associated with their Bilt account. The system automatically identifies eligible FSA or HSA items and provides a convenient one-click option to apply benefits.
  • Bilt Rewards: Bilt members can earn 1x Bilt points on all Walgreens purchases, 2x points on Walgreens-branded items, and receive 100 Bilt points on prescription refills, subject to certain exclusions.
  • Complimentary Photo Prints: Coming soon, Bilt members will also enjoy access to free photo prints at Walgreens pharmacies.

The automatic FSA/HSA savings and Bilt rewards features are available immediately, while the complimentary photo prints option is set to launch in the near future, according to a Walgreens press release. This collaboration reflects Walgreens’ commitment to enhancing the shopping experience for its customers while providing added benefits through the Bilt Rewards program.
