Walmart Teams Up with Knuckies Hoagies for In-Store Restaurants

Walmart has announced a new collaboration with Knuckies Franchise Company LLC to introduce Knuckies Hoagies within select stores. This partnership includes 14 leases across six states: Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Texas. This move is part of Walmart’s recent trend of adding in-store restaurants to its offerings.

Strategic Advantage for Knuckies Hoagies

Knuckies Hoagies sees the Walmart partnership as a strategic advantage, providing access to a broad customer base and prime retail locations. Established in 2019, Knuckies Hoagies currently operates six locations in Georgia and offers a menu featuring hoagies, salads, soups, and desserts.

Franchise Growth Plans

Todd Broaderick, Founder and CEO of Knuckies Hoagies, revealed that six of the 14 leases are committed to franchisees, with plans to extend the master franchise agreement for further Walmart expansions.

Trend of Enhanced Foodservice Options

This partnership aligns with the growing trend among retailers and grocers to enhance their foodservice options, particularly with made-to-order meals. Walmart has recently formed similar in-store restaurant partnerships, including agreements with Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ, Mr. Gatti’s Pizza, Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar, and Wetzel’s Pretzels, as part of its broader strategy to diversify in-store dining options.
