Aldi Partners with Sauce Shop for ‘Controversial’ Festive Flavours
Aldi has teamed up with Sauce Shop to release two bold and festive condiment flavors just in time for the holiday season. The new creations aim to bring an unconventional twist to classic holiday flavors, with a Brussels Sprout Kimchi Hot Sauce and a Spiced Cranberry Hot Honey.
The Flavors
- Brussels Sprout Kimchi Hot Sauce:
A Korean-inspired take on Brussels sprouts, this hot sauce combines the distinctive sprout flavor with fermented spices for a unique twist. - Spiced Cranberry Hot Honey:
This festive condiment blends sweet cranberries with a kick of heat from fermented habanero and jalapeño chilies, providing a spicy alternative to traditional cranberry sauces.
Availability & Pricing
Both sauces will be sold at £3.49 each and will hit shelves in over 1,000 Aldi stores across the UK starting November 28.
What They’re Saying
- Julie Ashfield, Aldi UK Managing Director of Buying:
“Our latest collaboration with Sauce Shop might be our most controversial yet. Love them or hate them, we’re confident this unique hot sauce will win over even the most sprout-averse.” - Pam Digva, Sauce Shop Co-Founder:
“After the success of our Brussels Sprout Ketchup, we wanted to push flavor boundaries further. These festive sauces are perfect for Christmas, from party food dips to the centerpiece of a baked camembert.”
Holiday Pairing Ideas
- Use the Brussels Sprout Kimchi Hot Sauce to spice up roasted vegetables or drizzle it over your Christmas roast.
- Pour the Spiced Cranberry Hot Honey over baked camembert, use it as a dip for party snacks, or as a glaze for holiday meats.
This collaboration reflects a growing trend of experimenting with unconventional flavors to elevate traditional festive dishes.
