Shrimp Consumption Boost with Creative Cooking Contests

Shrimp remains a popular seafood choice, but exciting new contests aim to create a shrimp consumption boost through creative recipes. These campaigns encourage home cooks and chefs to showcase unique ways to prepare shrimp dishes.

Wild American Shrimp’s Recipe Contest

The “Don’t Be Shellfish With Your Shrimp Recipes” contest offers a fun way to promote shrimp consumption. Open to consumers and chefs, this contest invites participants to share their best shrimp recipes. Whether it’s a family favorite or a dish inspired by a special event, the goal is to inspire new shrimp ideas.

Winners will gain recognition on the Wild American Shrimp website and social media channels. Even non-winning entries could still appear on their “Recipes” page, giving participants more exposure.

Entries will be judged on quality, originality, and alignment with the organization’s values. Strong photos and videos can also improve the chances of winning.

SeaPak’s “Chopped At Home Challenge”

SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co. is running its own contest designed to create a shrimp consumption boost. Inspired by the Food Network series “Chopped,” this challenge invites consumers to prepare a shrimp dish using four required ingredients, including SeaPak Shrimp Scampi.

Participants must create a dish that takes 45 minutes or less to prepare. Kristen Beadon, SeaPak’s marketing director, emphasized that the challenge is simple: “Shop, cook, and compete.”
